About.com readers have just bestowed another award on the Disney California Adventure show “World of Color”: Best New Theme Park Show of 2010 in their 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards. The popular nighttime spectacular, which combines water, lights, music, animation and more for a completely unique experience, has already been viewed by more than 2 million guests in less than one year.
In an online survey, readers of the popular site, owned by The New York Times Company, rate “the best of” in a number of categories, focusing on the achievements of the past year. Readers could vote on their favorites from February 11 through March 8.
“World of Color” beat out stage shows at both Busch Gardens Parks, as well as a parade from Six Flags’ Great America to take top honors in the category.
