Disney’s live-action Maleficent is eyeing a June start date for production, sources say. The film will star Angelina Jolie in the title role, and Robert Stromberg will direct.
The role of Aurora has not been definitively cast yet, but Elle Fanning is in talks to take on the role. Fanning is most well-known for her star turns in Somewhere and Super 8.
According to Jolie, all of her children are eager for her to make the movie, and have even taken to calling her “mom-elicent.” When we hear more news on this upcoming Disney flick, we’ll be sure to let you know.
