Over the weekend, thousands of people came through Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Park in support of the 22nd Annual Children’s Hospital of Orange County Walk, which helps raise awareness and support services, research and education at the hospital.
Those who attended the CHOC Walk were there for a variety of reasons: remembering those who have passed, seeking support for children undergoing treatment or coming to support the hospital that saved their child’s life. Bryan Bowerman, a CHOC Walk attendee, said the hospital saved his daughter’s life when no one else could determine what was wrong.
In total, 16,000 participants helped raise $1.8 million for the hospital. The figure is expected to climb before the drive ends on October 31.
