Kids ages 8-16 will get a chance to live out their James Bond fantasies – minus the hot car and bevy of beauties, of course – as Spy Camp comes to Disneyland Paris October 8, 2011.
Organized by the UK-based company, Spy Games Ltd, the camp will offer participants the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their favorite heroes of espionage, as they learn the secrets of the spy world from experienced trainers.
The camp is divided into a morning induction training session, while players will be involved in more advanced training in the afternoon.
The first event of its kind in Europe, participants will put their newly-acquired spy skills to the test in various challenges, which will range from code-breaking and surveillance to learning how to dodge laser alarms, to espionage in combat zones. Those who successfully complete their challenges will be recognized at a special “passing out” ceremony.
Spy Games Ltd. founder Dave Thomas expects the camp to be a hit with kids and parents alike. ” Not only do youngsters get to enter the world of espionage for a day,” said Thomas, a former SAS instructor and surveillance expert, “but it gives parents some time to themselves to explore the resort, safe in the knowledge that their children are having the time of their lives.”
