With all of the new and exciting renovations and expansions taking place at Disney Parks, sometimes it’s hard to keep them all straight, but today, we’re learning of another Fantasyland Expansion to a Disney Park, thanks to the D23 Expo.
Disney has announced that Fantasyland at Disneyland Park will soon include Fantasy Faire. To make way for the new experience, the boundaries of the popular land will be expanded, and the area that has been known as Carnations Plaza Gardens Stage will be transformed into a medieval village square, reminiscent of Disney fairy tales. At the heart of the square will be Tangled Tower, inpired by the scenes in the film Tangled when Rapunzel and Flynn visit the village. The square will be surrounded by cottages and pavilions. The new area will serve as meet and greet spot with the popular Disney Princesses (and Princes too, we presume.) There will also be regular activities, like the Royal Ribbon Parade. Guests of all ages will be able to interact with their favorite Disney royals.
The area will also include Fantasy Fairy Stage, where guests can see their favorite Disney royals come to life.
Finally, at night, the classic music and dance from the Disney catalog will come to life in a celebration of Disney musical heritage.
No word on the estimated opening date for the new Disneyland Fantasy Faire, but we’ll share that information as soon as we have it. In the meantime, enjoy the concept art, which gives us an idea of what the area will look like.
