The Disneyana Fan Club will hold a special Disney Family Weekend April 1-3, 2011, in San Francisco.
On Friday, April 1, guests will board motor coaches and head to Napa’s Silverado Vineyards, where they will tour the vineyards and attend wine tastings. Each motor coach will stop on the return trip at Gott’s Roadside (formerly Taylor’s Automatic Refresher) for lunch.
On Saturday, plan to head to the Walt Disney Family Museum for a day of touring exhibits, as well as a luncheon, to be catered by Wolfgang Puck. During the luncheon, Disneyana will present a special Heritage Award to Walter E. D. Miller, Walt Disney’s grandson, who will be on hand to accept the award on behalf of the Disney family.
On Sunday, guests will have the opportunity to finish exploring the museum at their leisure during a second day pass.
Tickets for the event $425 per person, which includes motor coach travel to and from the winery, the Silverado Vineyards tour and wine tasting, motor coach travel to and from the Walt Disney Family Museum on Saturday, and Saturday’s catered luncheon. Disneyana is currently working to provide continental breakfast the morning of Friday and Sunday, and while travel and accommodations are not included in the ticket price, the Palace Hotel in San Fransisco will serve as the meeting place for the event. Disneyana is working with the hotel to finalize group rates, and those interested in attending will be able to make their reservations with the hotel directly soon.
There is also a package available for those interested only in Saturday’s events. This offering includes motor coach transportation, admission to the Museum on Saturday only, and the Award Luncheon. The price for the Saturday event is $225.00 per person.
