This week, Disney XD announced that its popular series Crash & Bernstein will be renewed for a second season. Production on the second season will begin in Van Nuys, CA this July, with the season premiere set for this fall.
In a statement, Adam Bonnett, senior vice president of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide, said:
“Disney XD continues to push creative boundaries for a sitcom and ‘Crash & Bernstein’ delivers on this promise week in, week out. Crash has quickly become an iconic character on the network, and we look forward to a second season of more purple attitude and disruptive fun with this talented cast and creative team.”
Crash & Bernstein tells the story of Wyatt Bernstein and his surrogate brother “Crash,” an outgoing puppet that comes to life when Wyatt wishes for a brother. The series debuted last fall and has since become one of Disney XD’s most popular series.
