If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays and want to plan a Candlelight Processional Dining Package, today is your lucky day – packages for 2013 go on sale today.
The 2013 Candlelight Processional will be presented November 29 through December 30, with three performances each night (5 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.). The program includes the telling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator who is accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, and a choir of Disney cast members and special guests.
Guests who book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package will have guaranteed seating for lunch or dinner at select Epcot restaurants, in addition to guaranteed VIP viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth after the show.
The dining package includes your choice of an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage or one full buffet from the restaurant’s menu. Guests can use the Disney Dining Plan to pay for the packages. With the Standard or Deluxe Dining Plan it will be two table service credits per person, and with the Premium and Platinum Dining Plan it will cost one table service credit.
The list of participating restaurants for 2013 has not been released, but our friends at the Disney Food Blog have listed locations that were included in past years. These include: Biergarten, Nine Dragons, Restaurant Marrakesh, Rose and Crown, Via Napoli, San Angel Inn, Coral Reef, Teppan Edo, Tokyo Dining, Tutto Italia, Chefs de France, Garden Grill (dinner only), Le Cellier (lunch only), and La Hacienda de San Angel (dinner only).
Prices have not yet been released but the prices for 2012 were: Lunch Packages are $32.99–$55.99 for Guests 10+; $12.50–$17.99 for Guests 3–9,and Dinner Packages are $49.99–$66.99 for Guests 10+; $14.50–$26.99 for Guests 3–9.
The complete list of narrators for the Candlelight Processional has not been released, but we can report these tentative names (which are always subject to change): Ashley Judd (December 5), Whoopi Goldberg (December 6-7), Dennis Haysbert (December 11-13), James Denton (December 14-16), Edward James Olmos (December 17-19), Trace Adkins (December 20-22), Blair Underwood (December 26-28), and Amy Grant (December 30).
