The second oldest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is getting an upgrade later this year.
The Disney Wonder is scheduled to go into dry dock in Spain in September and DCL President has recently stated the changes are coming to the ship without going into much detail about those changes.
The Wonder’s sister ship, the Disney Magic, received a makeover in 2013 that included the addition of the AquaDuck water slide, new dining venues, and more.
Possible changes for the Wonder could include a new stage show based on the hit film Frozen (the Magic recently debuted a Tangled-themed show). There is a casting call for performers for a new “onboard production” based on Frozen.
After its time in dry dock the Wonder will sail from Galveston in November and December of this year before returning to Port Canaveral for Bahamian sailings through April 2017. Then next spring the ship will return to Alaska.
The Disney Wonder first sailed in 1999.
