Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder is set to be transformed this fall while in dry dock from September 9 through October 23 in Cadiz, Spain.
The refurbished ship will sail again on November 10 from Galveston, Texas until it travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 20, 2017.
As part of the new enhancements the Marvel universe will come to life in the Marvel Super Hero Academy as part of the Disney Oceaneer Club.
The Super Hero Academy will feature Spider-Man and other Marvel Super Heroes who will interact with kids via a large digital display.
A new restaurant, Tiana’s Place, will feature a menu “influenced by southern-style cuisine.” The restaurant was inspired by Princess Tiana and will also feature live music that sets the tone for the “French Quarter supper club atmosphere.”
Guests will also have a chance to visit a new English pub, After Hours, in the adult district. The pub will serve a selection of British and specialty beers in addition to cocktails. Guests will notice subtle nods to classic Disney films set in London.
Other enhancements on the Disney Wonder include a reimagined Senses Spa & Salon, a new Chill Teen Spa, new dinner shows at Animator’s Palate, the D Lounge for family games, Edge Club for tweens, and restaurant makeover at Palo, and more.
