Registration opened March 4 for the 2014 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon that happens November 9 at the Walt Disney World Resort.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the 13.1 mile nighttime run and to celebrate, runDisney will be handing out commemorative medals to all the finishers.
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon takes runners through three theme parks – Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.
After the race runners and their families and friends can celebrate at the Finish Line Party at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival until 4 a.m. The party includes 25 kiosks offering food and wine from the Festival in addition to Disney characters and the chance to ride Epcot attractions.
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend also includes Mickey’s Jingle Jungle 5K at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a Disney Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste event at Hollywood Studios, and the Disney Health & Fitness Expo.
At press time the Wine & Dine Half Marathon had sold out, and the Jingle Jungle 5K was at 60 percent capacity. To register for the 5K or other the Pre-Race Taste event, visit runDisney’s website.
