runDisney has announced a couple of changes for the 2016 Wine and Dine Half Marathon, including the addition of new events.
The race weekend will expand to three days and will now including a 10K race, a new half marathon that takes place in the daytime on a new course, and a new challenge.
The Disney Wine & Dine 10K debuts on Saturday, November 5. The new daytime half marathon will be run on Sunday, November 6 on a course that takes runners through the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.
The new challenge – Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge – includes the 10K and the half marathon for a total of 19.3 miles.
The race weekend will also include Mickey’s Holiday 5K on Friday, November 4, and the runDisney Kids’ Races on Friday and Saturday.
There’s also a Finish Line Party from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Sunday, November 6 that takes place at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Runners will have a chance to enjoy the festival marketplaces and enjoy Epoct attractions and entertainment.
Registration for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend opens March 29 at runDisney.com.
