Disney VoluntEARS are continuing to spread holiday cheer around the world.
Disney Cruise Line recently hosted holiday outreach visits in St. Thomas, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The VoluntEARS on the ships distributed gifts to more than 500 children while the Disney characters greeted the kids.
The DCL visits were co-hosted with the local ministries of tourism as a way to give back to the ports that the Disney Cruise Line ships visit throughout the year.
Walt Disney World Resort VoluntEARS partnered with The Mission Continues for a special event at the Boys & Girls Club, Walt Disney World Clubhouse. This veteran’s volunteer event included patriotic arts and crafts activities and a flagpole dedication.
On the west coast, Disney VoluntEARS and employees from The Walt Disney Company participated in various family volunteer activities including the VoluntEARS Village at the Light Up the Season holiday event. This event gave employees and their families a chance to participate in volunteer activities together.
The activities included stuffing stockings for local homeless shelters, decorating cards for kids in the hospital, and writing postcards to send to service men and women.
Disneyland Paris VoluntEARS hosted a special “Mission Noel” event in support of Toys for Tots. Several of the Disney Parks around the world were participating in Toys for Tots events and collected more than 40,000 toys for kids around the world.
