Disney Vacation Account – the online program that allowed guests to save money for their Disney vacation – has been discontinued.
According to a post on the program’s website, the Disney Vacation Account program is being discontinued and “no new accounts or contributions are being accepted.”
Disney is giving users four options to choose from when it comes to the money they’ve saved in the Disney Vacation Accounts.
Guests can either: use the total amount in their account to purchase a Disney Gift Card by September 27 and Disney will add 5% to the total amount; redeem the amount toward a Disney vacation (and there’s a special offer listed on the site); do nothing and wait for Disney to close accounts beginning September 27 and get a full refund of all the money saved in their account; or request a refund prior to the date that Disney starts to close accounts in September.
