According to news featured yesterday first on Stitch Kingdom, Disney has temporarily suspended its Adventures by Disney Egyptian itineraries, while it has removed a Tunisian port of call from Cruise Line itineraries indefinitely.
Adventures by Disney, the company’s guided tour service to points of interest all over the globe, had been heavily marketing their new tours of Egypt, which feature 7- and 9-night itineraries. However, the trips have been suspended through August 2011, presumably pending a resolution to the current unrest in the region.
Disney has also removed another potential hot spot from its vacation options: Tunisia. Disney Cruise Line’s Magichad been scheduled to sail 10- and 11-night Mediterranean voyages that included a call on the Tunisian capital of Tunis; but citing the “changing political environment,” Disney is replacing Tunis with a stop in Palermo, Italy.
In the case of the Adventures by Disney Egypt itinerary, Disney is working with travel agents and customers in an attempt to make other arrangements.
