Disney has given the first sneak peek of the all-new ‘Frozen Ever After’ attraction that will replace Maelstrom in Epcot’s Norway pavilion.
The ride will use the same water track as Maelstrom but nothing else of the fan-favorite attraction exists.
This all-new ride with take guests to the Winter in Summer Celebration in Arendelle, visiting Elsa’s ice palace and the icy world of the North before returning to they Bay of Arendelle.
While guests wait in the ride’s queue they’ll walk past Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post where they’ll get a glimpse of the hot-tub-loving trader. Then once riders are on the ride logs they’ll get a glimpse of Olaf and Sven. The first stop is at Troll Valley where Grandpappy Troll tells how Anna and Kristoff first met.
Fans of the movie will enjoy the scene of Elsa singing the hit song “Let It Go” on the balcony of the ice palace, which is the centerpiece of the attraction.
Guests will also see the ice monster Marshmallow just before the final scene of the ride which includes fireworks, and appearances by Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven.
The ride will use “cutting edge” audio-animatronics to create the characters from the film with “lifelike” facial features.
The Frozen Ever After attraction is scheduled to open in 2016 at Epcot.
