Best known for his work as director for A Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, and Coraline, sources have just announced that Disney has pulled the plug on Henry Selick’s upcoming stop motion animated film.
Production had already been underway on this as-yet-untitled project, which had been set for a release date of October 4, 2013. Selick has been given permission to take the project to other studios, however, so we may yet see this untitled film!
As of this writing, it remains unclear whether Selick will still helm Disney’s acquisition of Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book, which the entertainment giant acquired in April.
