Disney Junior has ordered new seasons for three of its hit animated series – Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Sofia the First follows the adventures of Disney’s first little girl princess, while the Emmy-nominated Doc McStuffins focuses on a little girl who runs a clinic for her toys and stuffed animals. Both shows have been picked up for a third season.
Jake and the Never Land Pirates features a crew of kid pirates alongside Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. The Emmy-nominated show has been renewed for a fourth season.
The three shows have ranked among the Top 10 cable TV series for 2013 for kids ages 205, and have also ranked in the top 10 preschooler cable TV series in total viewers and women ages 18-49.

“Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates do what Disney does best — tell great stories with humor and heart, said Nancy Kantner, executive vice president, original programming and general manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.
“We've seen these series connect with our audience around the world and across platforms in meaningful ways, and we have many more stories to tell. We look forward to developing new narratives that will put our charismatic princess Sofia, aspiring doctor Doc, and inspiring hero Jake into exciting new situations and locales.”
The characters from each show have also been embraced throughout the Disney universe, including at the Disney Parks and Resorts. All three leading characters – Sofia, Doc, and Jake – are featured in the Disney Junior Live on Stage! show at Disney California Adventure Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
