The former head of Walt Disney Imagineering Marty Sklar will be on hand at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management to conduct a lecture and Q&A session Friday, May 13.
As a Disney cast member for 55 years, Sklar will bring his unique experiences to the lecture, and will share with the public what it was like to work with Walt Disney himself. The lecture will be hosted by the college’s Future Theme Park Leaders Association, and will cost $15 for students and $25 for the general public. All proceeds will go towards helping the Ryman Arts Foundation and Give Kids the World.
The lecture will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the college’s Darden Auditorium, and will call opens at 3:00 p.m. Directly after Sklar’s session, attendees will be invited to a networking mixer in the courtyard. Finally, a special eBay auction for “Dinner and Story Time with Marty Sklar” will be available for interested guests to bid on, and will include a private dinner at the Oceanaire Seafood Room at Pointe Orlando, including dinner, beverages, and a seat at the table with the legend himself. The opening bid will start at $150.
