The Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort is the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom History – and will create a whopping 800 permanent jobs once construction has been fully completed.
Right now, there have already been 700 temporary construction jobs created, but the permanent jobs will open once the new Fantasyland is fully operational. These jobs will include everything from food and beverage workers to merchandising to attraction operations services.
The expansion will be opening in phases. The first phase, Storybook Circus, opened in June. Later this year, Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, the Be Our Guest Restaurant and Enchanted Tales with Belle are expected to open.
New Fantasyland will be complete in 2014.
