Late last week, sources announced that Randy Garfield, president of Walt Disney Travel Company and executive vice president of Worldwide Sales & Travel Operations of Disney Destinations, joined Brand USA’s board of directors.
In order to attract more foreign visitors to the United States, Brand USA hopes to draw on top tourism and travel experts like Garfield before they launch theĀ nation’s first tourism marketing campaign.
Says Stephen J. Cloobeck, chairman of the board:
Randy brings a phenomenal record of international sales and marketing success with one of the most recognized brands in the world. We welcome him onto the board.
While Brand USA was formerly known as The Corporation for Travel Promotion, the brand unveiled their current name earlier this month at the World Travel Market in London. The first advertisements from Brand USA are expected to debut next spring.
