Last week, many sources picked up the story that Disney was currently developing a sequel to the 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus. Now, The Huffington Post has reported that a Disney rep told them “[Disney] is not developing a sequel to Hocus Pocus.”
Moviehole.net even went so far as to claim this rumored sequel had a name: Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch, and that it was scheduled for a release date sometime next year.
Despite all of the hubub on the internet about this alleged sequel, Disney has apparently confirmed that there is no sequel in the works. Are you disappointed by this news? If anything changes, we will be sure to keep you informed.
