USA Today is reporting that Disney Cruise Line will be adding several interesting new features to its next ship, including:
- A miniature golf course themed around Goofy.
- A Nemo inspired water play area for kids.
- An adults-only pool with a swim up bar.
This is in addition to the already announced high-speed flume ride that will circle the exterior of the ship.
Disney’s Dream is the first new cruise ship that Disney has built in over a decade. It’s current plans call for it to set sail in roughly one year on January 26, 2011.
From the article:
Disney says Goofy’s Golf, as the nine-hole miniature golf course is to be called, is part of an interactive sports deck that also will have two digital sports simulators and two mini-sized sports courts where small children can play soccer and basketball. There also will be a full-court basketball area that can be transformed into a mini soccer pitch or volleyball court
This should be excited news for fans of Disney cruising who are excited to see the launch of the Dream. You can read the full article at USA Today.
