This week, Disney Cruise Line was officially recognized for its excellence and the superior cruise experience that Disney provides. The cruise line was named the #1 cruise line in the large ship category in the Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, an annual readers’ survey that honors and recognizes the top resorts, destinations, airlines, cruise lines and car rental agencies.
“The Disney tradition of family-friendly entertainment continues aboard Disney Cruise Line with a wealth of activities to keep the entire family entertained, while making magical memories and spending quality time together,” said Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line. “It is immensely gratifying to know that our cast and crew members’ efforts continue to surprise and delight our guests with unforgettable experiences at sea.”
This recognition comes as part of a big year for Disney Cruise Line, which added a new ship, the Disney Fantasy, to its fleet this year, in addition to adding some brand-new itineraries and new port cities. Disney Cruise Line was also recognized by the Condé Nast Traveler Magazine readers in 2010, when it earned the award for Number #1 Cruise Experience in the “Mega-Ship” category.
