Loyal subjects of Sofia the First can rejoice – a new line of products inspired by the hit Disney Channel series recently launched at retailers nationwide. Products based on the show were previously only available at Disney Store locations.
The extended product line features items from Mattell, JAKKS Pacific, Jay Franco, and more. The new items includes Sofia’s purple dress, amulet necklace, home décor items, bedding and bath accessories, as well as plush toys, dolls, a play castle and more. This new product line debuted at Disney’s annual holiday preview in New York.
Disney Publishing is introducing a Sofia the First Digital Magazine and Story Theater app this summer, as well as another book – Sofia the First: The Floating Palace. The first storybook, Sofia the First, is a New York Times Bestseller.
“Since the debut of Sofia the First on Disney Junior last year, we have heard from parents whose children have asked for everything from a Sofia doll to her dress and the magical amulet,” said Josh Silverman, executive vice president of global licensing, Disney Consumer Products. “After a successful launch at Disney Store, we’re excited to give parents an even bigger selection of products to delight their preschoolers and extend the storytelling.”
Sofia the First is set in the world of Enchancia and tells the story of Princess Sofia who is learning to adjust to royal life. Every episode features Sofia addressing themes and lessons that are relevant to girls, and educating girls on how to embody the qualities of kindness, generosity, loyalty, honesty, and grace.
The new Sofia the First product line is available at retailers nationwide. The show airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
