Disney Channel is presenting a special episode of Girl Meets World on September 11 that will both entertain and educate families.
In the episode, Riley, Maya, and Lucas rally around their friend Farkle who might be on the autism spectrum.
Three experts consulted on the episode to ensure it was an authentic storyline. The experts are: : Elizabeth Laugeson, Psy.D, The Help Group; child development consultant Arthur Pober, Ed.D.; and Shiela Wagner, M.Ed., retired, Emory Autism Center.
Also in the episode, Farkle’s friendship with another student, Smackle, grows fonder. Lee Norris (Stuart Minkus) and Kristanna Loken (Jennifer Bassett Minkus) return to their Boy Meets World roles, now as Farkle’s parents.
This special episode of Girl Meets World airs on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
