Disney Channel’s and Disney Junior’s hit animated series Elena of Avalor is returning for its second season on October 14.
The first episode of the second season is a special Día de los Muertos-themed episode that will air on Disney Channel at 9 a.m. and Disney Junior at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14.
In the episode – titled ‘The Jewel of Maru” – “Elena is visited by the ghosts of her parents on the Day of the Dead and meets another ghost named Amaláy who stands watch over the powerful Jewel of Maru,” according to a press release from Disney Channel.
Guest voice actors for the new season of Elena of Avalor include Rosie Perez, Mario Lopez, Diane Guerrero, Steve Buscemi, Whoopi Goldberg, and more.
Fans of Elena will find a new limited edition Princess Elena of Avalor doll this November at Disney Store, and in January 2018 fans can purchase a Disney Animators’ Collection Elena of Avalor doll – the first television princess in the collection.
