Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler has teamed up with Target for their 2012 back-to-school campaign called Give With Target.
Target will be donating $5 million to schools and students across the country to help acquire school supplies and other school related items in the form of 100 $25,000 grants to needy schools, which will be announced sometime in August. Additionally, four schools will be selected to receive a special celebration in their honor.
Finally, Target will also be giving away up to $2.5 million in gift cards to local schools, which you can vote for on their Facebook page.
Says Mendler:
I’m excited to partner with Target on their Give with Target campaign and celebrate the start of a new school year with kids across the country. It’s so important for all kids to have everything they need for a successful school year. I’m looking forward to surprising four schools and helping them celebrate their $25,000 grant from Target.
