Disney Channel is rolling out all-new editions of the Emmy Award-winning Make Your Mark series that showcases teens and kids who are making a difference in their communities.
The series is designed for kids ages 6-14 and features empowering and relevant stories with the themes of communication, diversity, and optimism.
Seven kids were picked for the 2014 edition of Make Your Mark and they range in age from 11 to 15. The kids are from Long Island and Uster, New York; Manchester, Connecticut; Los Angeles and San Diego, California; Mesa, Arizona; and Miami, Florida.
“Peers can have a great influence on kids and teens, and through these stories about young people making a real difference, we aim to inspire a generation of kids to take action that can change the world and themselves through service, a sense of optimism and values they uphold,” said Ron Pomerantz, Disney Channel’s Vice President, Marketing and Creative.
The segments began airing on September 12 and will continue to air from now until November. There are 25 stories in this year’s series.
