Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been undergoing major construction since earlier this year and today Disney has announced more details about the changes coming to the resort.
Old Port Royale is being re-imagined as the “port of entry” where guests will check in for their Caribbean vacation.
Inside Old Port Royale guests will find Centertown Market – the new quick service restaurant, Calypso Trading Post, and more.
Shutters is returning to the the resort as a waterfront table service restaurant and will transport guests “to a beachfront home in the tropical islands.” Adjacent to this area will be the new Banana Cabana Pool Bar featuring cabana-style drapes and repurposed steel drum tables.
Centertown Market will be a quick service restaurant but will also be home to a grab-and-go area for coffee and other items.
And, the Calypso Trading Post is returning and will be the spot for guests to find souvenirs and other vacation essentials.
Disney says the resort will be completed in the summer of 2018.
