Due to an electrical outage, the sign for the “Magic of Disney Animation” attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closed until further notice. Last night, the sign suffered a small fire, causing an evacuation of the area and closure of the sign.
At around 9:20 PM Saturday night, an electrical ballast shorted out, causing the sign to catch fire. No guests or cast members were injured as a result of the fire, and the sign is expected to remain closed until it can be fully fixed.
The Magic of Disney Animation is a Walt Disney World attraction that gives guests a glimpse into the process of animating some of their favorite characters from Disney films. The attraction itself has not been affected by the fire, and will remain open.
