This weekend is your last chance to ride Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom until sometime this fall.
The popular thrill ride is closing Monday, July 25, for refurbishment. The official Disney website says the ride will be closed through “fall 2016.”
There are reports that the original reopen date was late September but that has reportedly been moved to mid-October
The ride takes guests on a journey back in time to rescue an Iguanadon before the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs strikes. The ride vehicles are 12-passenger “time rovers.”
There is no word so far on what changes, if any, are coming to Dinosaur during this refurbishment.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is open daily from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.
