In her documentary Stay Strong, which aired on MTV last night, Disney star Demi Lovato opened up to the cameras and explained how she still struggles with the physical and mental issues that put her into a treatment center in 2010.
Lovato says:
I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment. I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect. It’s a daily battle.
During Thanksgiving, Lovato admitted she had to stay on the phone with her treatment counselor to avoid throwing up her meal. The star says that, by coming clean about her issues, she hopes she’ll be able to help other girls who may be experiencing the same problems.
Throughout her struggles, Demi has made it clear that her fans are what helps her make it through the day – and in her documentary, she says flat out that her fans – and her music – “give her a reason to live.”
