Late Thursday, Disney actress/singer Demi Lovato tweeted about her upcoming appearance on Good Morning America, which will mark her first interview since exiting a rehab facility in January for “emotional and physical issues.” The interview, whose air date has not been announced, will appear on both Good Morning America and 20/20.
While Lovato didn’t reveal any details about her interview, she did tweet that “everyone [should] follow @RobinRoberts… such a genuine and talented STRONG woman. Someone I definitely admire and look up to!”
Robin Roberts, host of GMA also had nice words to share about her experience interviewing Lovato, saying that “Demi is devoted to her fans…she truly touched me today. Very open, wonderful.” Roberts also mentioned that she will let fans know when the interview airs.
Lovato has made a point to thank her fans for their support and devotion. In a video she posted online, she made a point to let her fans know their impact, by sharing the meaning of tattoos she got in their honor:
The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful to me that I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten,” she explained. “So I went ahead and I got a little heart tattoo on my wrist.
It’s something that my fans were actually drawing on their wrists while I was still in treatment. Some people even got tattoos of it, so I wanted to show you guys that I will never forget the support that you guys gave me.
The Sonny with a Chance star has slowly been returning to the public eye, although she has yet to return to work on the Disney show.
