This year, D23’s annual “Sip and Stroll” event will be getting a Halloween-themed makeover, becoming the new “Sip & Scream” event. D23 recently announced what members can expect from this revamped event, which will take place October 2-3, 2012 in Walt Disney World.
D23 members will have the option of choosing between two different ticket type events for this event: one-day admission and the “Super Scream” package. Guests choosing the “Super Scream” package will have their festivities begin on the evening of Tuesday, October 2 with a private nighttime costume party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after the park closes. Encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney movie star or character, guests will get to experience some very exclusive experiences at the event, beginning with a tour of the Creative Costuming building to see how some of Disney’s most detailed costumes are created. Then, guests will be treated to dinner inside the Great Movie Ride attraction, traveling through the attraction’s different scenes as the meal continues.
On Wednesday, October 3, both regular and “Super Scream” ticketholders will be treated to a full day of events at Epcot. Guests will first be able to enjoy some exclusive presentations on the 2012 Food and Wine Festival and Disney’s Halloween festivities at Epcot’s World ShowPlace, followed by a pairing party where guests will sample some of the dishes from the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival with different wine pairings. Guests will then be able to enjoy exclusive access to the American Adventure hospitality lounge as they spend the afternoon enjoying the park at their leisure. In the evening, guests will be able to enjoy reserved seating to that evening’s Eat to the Beat Concert featuring Sugar Ray before heading to the France Pavilion for a private Illuminations Dessert Party.
Tickets for this exciting event will go on sale June 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM PST. The one-day experience tickets will cost $125 per person, with the “Super Scream” package priced at $320/person. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the official event page.
