If you missed the holiday hubbub at “The Happiest Place on Earth,” you can still celebrate the holiday season, Disney-style.
At Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom park, guests are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a variety of festive entertainment options. If you plan to catch one of the fireworks spectaculars, arrive early and plan to stay for the entire day. Typically, the park reaches maximum occupancy very early in the day, and will close during mid-afternoon.
On December 31, you’ll still be able to catch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., as well as the Main Street Electrical Parade at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Holiday Wishes Fireworks and Fantasy Sky Fireworks spectaculars will also be available at 8:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m., respectively. You’ll also be able to enjoy frequent DJ dance parties in front of the castle – check the Times Guide for specific hours.
The park will open at 8 a.m. December 31 and remain open until 2 a.m., but plan to arrive early if you want to be a part of the Magic Kingdom’s New Year’s Eve celebrations!
