These honorary VoluntEARS will be working with Disney employees and nonprofits including Feeding America, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Inside the Outdoors, First Book, and some local Boys & Girls Clubs on different service projects.
One of the projects is creating healthy snack packs for a local food bank. The VoluntEARS will pack healthy snack bags for families in Los Angeles County and the snack bags will be distributed through the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
VoluntEARS will also be planting seeds for school and community vegetable gardens with Inside the Outdoors, and assembling creativity kits for kids with First Book and Boys & Girls Clubs. The creativity kits will include Disney books and will be given to kids heading to school this fall.
Fans attending the D23 Expo can stop by the Citizenship pavilion and share what inspires them at the Be Inspired photo booth. Fans can also win prizes by participating in a virtual scavenger hunt throughout the Expo. The scavenger hunt will be part of the D23 Expo app that is available at iTunes and Google Play store.
The D23 Expo takes place August 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Tickets for the D23 Expo are $57 for a one-day adult admission and $47 for children 3-12.
