Did you know that it was National Engineers Week? We confess we did – thanks to PBS and Disney!
And to honor and mark this week, which highlights the fields of applied math, science, and engineering, Walt Disney World has put together special sessions, which are being held at Epcot. Headlining the talks on Wednesday will be Bill Nye, who is known best for his television series, “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” as well as his children’s books. Nye is also featured, along with Ellen DeGeneres, in Epcot’s Ellen’s Energy Adventure.
Nye’s sessions will be held 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., in Innoventions West. Sessions with other hosts will take place on other days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature speakers from Disney Ride & Show Engineering and Reedy Creek Fire Department, as well as guests from Underwriters Laboratories, Liberty Mutual, and Raytheon.
Admission to the special event is included with regular park admission.
