Last summer, Marvel’s The Avengers took the world by storm and became the highest grossing Disney movie of all time. Before the talented cast reunites for the film’s sequel in 2015, however, many of the Avengers will soon be assembling once more at this year’s Academy Awards.
Academy Awards show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron recently announced that five members of the Avengers cast will be presenting at this year’s Oscars ceremony: Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, and Robert Downey Jr. Jackson is also a co-star of this year’s Best Picture nominee Django Unchained, and four of the five actors presenting have all been previous Academy Award nominees.
In addition to these presenters, Avengers will also be represented at this year’s Oscars with a nomination in the Best Visual Effects category.
The 2013 Academy Awards will be broadcast on ABC on February 24 at 7:00 PM EST/4:00 PM PST. Seth MacFarlane will host.
