Guests with the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus who are visiting Walt Disney World this fall will have a new way to pay for merchandise.
At this week’s Apple product announcement it was revealed that Apple Pay is headed to Disney World in October.
The new system allows purchases to be made in a single step with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple Pay supports major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Disney joins other Apple Pay retailers including McDonald’s, Subway, Whole Food Markets, and Macy’s.
Apple Pay will also be available at Disney Stores nationwide.
Guests at Walt Disney World already have the option to pay for purchases using their MagicBands provided they are staying at a Walt Disney World Hotel.
Apple Pay will be available on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the Apple Watch which is launching in 2015. The watch also features Mickey Mouse as one of the face options.
