According to AKLResort.com, Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will begin charging a per night premium fee for one of its most popular views.
With four savannas housing dozens of species of African animals, the resort is a major draw for Disney World guests. Up until this point, rooms with savanna views have all been equally priced with specific savanna view requests not guaranteed. However, it’s clear that most guests staying at the resort’s Jambo House building have been requesting a view of the Arusha Savanna, the area just off of the main lobby that is thought to offer some of the best and most diverse animal viewing on the hotel’s property.
Disney is taking advantage of that popularity by charging a premium for the Arusha Savanna view rooms in 2011, much in the same way they charge a premium for water view and themed rooms in other Disney resorts.
A standard $30 per night premium has been added to all Arusha Savanna room view rates for 2011. While this change will frustrate some guests, those who prefer the Arusha Savanna view might be happy to pay the premium to guarantee their favorite view.
