In photos released from the set of Disney’s upcoming Sleeping Beauty adaptation Maleficent, Angelina Jolie appears in full costume – horns and all – suspended from a crane to appear as if she’s flying. It appears Jolie, who plays the title role, isn’t afraid to perform her own stunts for this live action take on a classic Disney fairy tale.
Co-starring Elle Fanning, Maleficent is currently filming on location in Buckinghamshire, England. The film gives us another look at Disney’s famous fairy tale as it is told from the perspective of the villain, and promises to be an interesting and action-filled take on a beloved story.
Maleficent is slated for release March 14, 2014.
