ABC’s hit series Once Upon a Time has added a new cast member to the mix, and many are speculating that it could be another Disney princess.
The network has hired Sonequa Martin-Green to play Tamara, described as “a charming and likable woman who’s secretly highly ambitious and a fearless leader driven to get what she wants.” Media reports are speculating that this sounds an awful lot like Princess Tiana from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, but Disney is remaining mum on who Tamara’s fairy-tale alter ego actually is.
Tamara will be a reoccurring character, and is expected to make her debut on the show during the later half of the second season. Martin-Green’s character may also remain until Season 3.
Since ABC hasn’t confirmed Martin-Green’s character’s real identity, we’ll just have to watch and see for ourselves. Once Upon a Time airs Sunday’s on ABC at 8/7c.
