ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family” took home the Screen Actor’s Guild award Sunday evening for Best Ensemble in a Comedy TV Series.
The win marked an otherwise unremarkable evening for ABC and parent company, Disney. Disney films were not represented in any of the film categories, but “Modern Family” did garner four nominations. However, “Modern Family” stars Ty Burrell and Ed O’Neill lost in the Male Actor – Comedy Series category to perennial favorite Alec Baldwin, while Sofia Vergara lost the trophy for Female Actor – Comedy Series to Betty White for her quirky role in “Lost in Cleveland.”
