There’s more than just turkey and football being served up during Thanksgiving weekend. The 2014 Orlando Classic basketball tournament starts Thursday at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The premiere pre-season college basketball tournament is hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the games are played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
This year’s field includes National Championship contender Kansas and Michigan State as the event headliners. The other teams in the tournament include Tennessee, Marquette, Georgia Tech, and Rhode Island.
The games start November 27 with Santa Clara State taking on Tennessee at 2 p.m. and Kansas facing Rhode Island earlier at 12 p.m. The winners of those games will face off on November 28. The other games on November 28 include Michigan State versus Rider, and Marquette against Georgia Tech.
The tournament’s championship game is November 30.
