A new video game based on the upcoming Disney Channel movie starring the wacky characters Phineas and Ferb is in the works for release Summer 2011.
The video game, entitled Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is currently being developed for the Wii system, the Nintendo DS handheld systems and the Playstation 3 console. Fans of the hit Disney Channel series will be able to play as their favorite characters, including Phineas, Ferb and Agent P.
The video game will follow the adventures of your favorite characters as they travel through different dimensions with the ultimate goal of battling evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
According to Dan Povenmire, Emmy Award-winning Creator/Executive Producer of Phineas and Ferb:
We collaborated closely with Disney Interactive Studios’ video game development team to ensure that the video game captures the humor and style of our movie. The antics of the characters and the immersive new worlds of the video game extend the experience fans will encounter in Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension.
In the Playstation 3 and Wii version, gamers will be able to play as one of 10 different characters and also have the option of a two-player cooperative mode. Additionally, this will be the first Phineas and Ferbvideo game that will support PlaystationMove motion controller gameplay.
For the Nintendo DS version of the video game, fans will be able to play as Phineas, Ferb, or Agent P and be able to race through 5 different worlds and engage in more than 30 levels of gameplay.
