Fresh off the success of indie film “Black Swan,” Mila Kunis will be working Disney into her busy schedule.
Negotiations have been circling for quite some time, but Disney has now officially signed Kunis to play one of three witches in “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” a prequel to the classic 1930’s film “The Wizard of Oz.”
Kunis will play Theodora and co-star opposite James Franco. The young Oscar nominee takes on the role of a snake oil salesman/illusionist who ends up whisked away by a tornado to Oz, where he will fight against the three witch sisters for control of the land.
The other two witches have yet to be cast, but the studio is reportedly looking at several actresses to fill the roles including Olivia Wilde, Keira Knightley, Amy Adams, Kate Beckinsale and Rebecca Hall. No release date has been set yet.
