Disney took the opportunity of a media gathering this evening to announce that Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Star Tours attraction will reopen May 20.
The newly refurbished and re-imagined ride will have been closed for nine months when the debut date rolls around, while Imagineers were busily at work. The new iteration of the ride will include a complete overhaul, featuring new droid characters, a new pilot, and even new destinations, and a sweet new ride – all in 3D.
A date has not been announced yet for the reopening of the newly re-imagined Star Tours at Disneyland Park. We’ll be sure to alert you when the announcement is made.
