Although Demi Lovato has largely been out of the limelight since she entered treatment for “emotional and physical issues” last October, she’s been on the minds and hearts of her fans, who have continued to stand by the young singer and actress. After Lovato won 2 Peoples’ Choice Awards last week – one for a guest spot on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and another for favorite family TV movie “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” the young star of Disney’s “Sonny with a Chance” posted the following message to fans on her official Facebook page:
“I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People’s Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all.”
It still isn’t clear when Lovato will leave treatment, which is taking place at an undisclosed facility – or if she’ll be out in time to resume filming of “Sonny with a Chance,” which is scheduled to start back up later this month. However, it is reported that the young actress has been allowed to spend time with her family throughout the holidays.
