‘Disney Channel Rocks’ Debuts at Disney California Adventure

Disney Channel Rocks show at Disney's Hollywood Studios

The “World of Color”  fountains are now getting a workout during the day.  Over the holiday weekend, Disney California Adventure officially debuted its new show, “Disney Channel Rocks.”

The seventeen-minute show incorporates songs from some of Disney’s most popular tween- and teen-focused works, past and present, including “Camp Rock,” and  “High School Musical.”  Also in the show are songs from the TV shows “Shake It Up,” as well as “Hannah Montana,” and “Jonas Brothers.”

The new show will be the first time that the “World of Color” stage and fountains have been used for another purpose besides the nighttime spectacular.  The fountains will shoot water up to two hundred feet in the air during the live show, which features a cast of fourteen who sing and dance to recorded music.  Guests can watch the show from Paradise Park, the venue that was constructed specifically for viewing “World of Color.”

“Disney Channel Rocks” replaces the popular “High School Musical 3:  Senior Year Right Here!  Right Now.”  A similar show debuted last month at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.
